Common questions

Which formula is used? Equal gaps: g = (L − n·w) ÷ (n + 1). Ends flush: g = (L − n·w) ÷ (n − 1). Custom margins: g = (L − a − b − n·w) ÷ (n − 1). Every position is measured from the left side of the opening.

Why do some values show ≈? The value was rounded to the precision you chose (0.1 mm, 1/16 in or 1/32 in). The calculation itself is never rounded.

How do I type fractions? Choose “Inches, fractions” and type for example 2 3/8 or 3/8.

Thousands separators? Type numbers without them. Use one point or one comma for decimals.

How do I move projects to a new iPhone? In Saved, use “Export all as JSON”, then import the file on the new device.

Is it a building-code calculator? No. Gapmori calculates geometric layout only and does not check structural safety, load capacity or code rules such as maximum baluster spacing. The drawing is not a 1:1 template.
